Changes in the Creative Writing Contest
Suggestions
Age / level : 7th grade +
Format of contest: two contributions – one on the spot + one written before(brought on
the day of the contest)
Type and no. of items:
1. Writing done
previous to the contest – choice between story (1 contribution ), sketch (1) ,
poetry (3 poems )
2. Writing to be done
on the day of the contest – free choice between story, sketch or poem.
Note – Please express
your opinions concerning the two possibilities that could be taken into
consideration for the day of the contest – is it better to give students a
choice, as mentioned above, or should they be asked to tackle the same type of writing they have brought from home? The
first one seems more generous and allows
for more freedom depending on the inspiration of the moment, but we need
confirmation.

300-350 words(7th /8th graders)
